*The Role*: As the Director of Paralegal Operations, you will lead our employment and consumer paralegal teams, enhancing operational efficiencies and enhancing our legal support framework.
This pivotal leadership role involves managing the paralegal teams and overseeing the hiring, training, and development of all paralegal and paralegal support personnel throughout the organization.
*Key Responsibilities*: - *Leadership and Management*: Provide dynamic leadership for our paralegal teams, conducting performance evaluations, and cultivating a culture that aligns with the firm's values and goals.
- *Operations Management*: Assume responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of the paralegal teams.
This includes streamlining processes to enhance productivity, implementing innovative management strategies, and ensuring that all operations adhere to firm policies and legal standards.
Develop and refine operational systems to manage document flows, case management, and communication channels effectively.
Ensure that all team members are aligned with the firm's operational protocols and work together to meet critical deadlines.
- *Case Management Support*: Ensure robust support in managing complex employment law cases, overseeing document preparation, legal research, and adherence to legal procedures.
- *Training and Development*: Serve as a subject matter expert in labor and employment law, leading the development and implementation of training programs for paralegals and support staff to ensure proficiency in current and emerging legal issues.
In addition to handling all typical discovery paralegal work, you will also be responsible for elevating the department's performance standards.
As the Director, you are tasked with your own continuous professional development and with fostering the growth of your team by identifying and implementing ongoing education and training opportunities.
- *Hiring and Personnel Development*: Direct all aspects of recruitment, training, and development for paralegals and paralegal support staff, ensuring the team's capabilities meet and exceed the firm’s needs.
- *Client Service Excellence*: Lead by example to promote a client-centered approach, ensuring the team supports attorneys in delivering unparalleled service.
- *Collaborative Teamwork*: Foster effective communication and collaboration within the paralegal team and across the firm to ensure cohesive operations.
- *Resource Allocation*: Manage resource distribution to effectively support caseloads and spearhead the recruitment and integration of new team members as needed.
*Qualifications*: - *Management and Qualifications*: A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field is required, while a Law degree or an advanced degree and/or certification is strongly preferred.
Additional training in management and leadership is highly valued.
We seek candidates with extensive leadership experience, especially those who have successfully managed teams in legal settings, operations-intensive environments, or within military operations.
- *Experience*: A minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role specifically in employment law.
- *Leadership, Mentoring, and Team-Building*: Demonstrated ability in leading, mentoring, and building cohesive teams is essential.
- *Labor and Employment Law*: Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of employment law and legal procedures.
Proven experience working with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is essential.
- *Operations Management Skills*: Candidates must demonstrate proven operations management skills, including the ability to oversee complex projects and enhance operational efficiency.

*Compensation and Benefits*: The annual salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $125,000, varying based on the candidate's qualifications.

Additional emphasis is placed on exceptional and proven leadership skills and comprehensive legal operations experience, reflecting a candidate's ability to manage complex legal environments effectively and adapt quickly to the Atlas way of litigation.
