DataScalp, is the world’s first online global consumer platform that (1) captures consumer feedback via voice of the customer crowdsourcing platform and (2) ranks airline performance in an easy-to-read online visual dashboard, (3) employs the FlyBuy mobile app that empowers consumers to audibly purchase airfare by saying “Hey Siri, book my flight” or “Hey Google, book my flight”, using DataScalp’s platform as an AI filter to curate consumer choices towards flights most likely to (a) occur without cancellation, (b) on time, and (c) with bags.
Launched in July 2022, DataScalp generated over 1.
1 million unique visitors in the first 4 ½ months and delivered the proprietary mobile apps in Q4 of 2023 now available for both the Apple and Android apps stores.
The organization’s team is split between the United States and India, working in unison, collaborating and problem-solving the challenges to drive the business forward both across the United States and Europe.
*The Position* The Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel will report directly to the CEO, and will work alongside the Chief Operating Officer, and participate within a smart, highly educated and driven senior leadership team, that will be targeting global expansion both in North America and Europe during 2024 and delivering additional platforms beyond 2024.
Prior to funding, the Chief Legal Officer’s sole role will be driving introductions and meetings with prominent venture capital firms to secure capital.
Compensation for this activity will be 2.
5% of funds secured + equity ownership.
Post funding, this role becomes a fully compensated role and will (1) review/authorize/manage all contractual relationships, (2) Co-oversee all DataScalp activities alongside the Chief Operating Officer, (3) Participate in senior leadership / contribute to strategic decisions, and (4) Serve as a key liaison for additional funding/investment banking activities.
Post funding, the annual salary is $200,000, working Monday through Thursday, with full benefits and additional options.
*Qualifications:* * JD from accredited U.

law school and three years of legal experience in regulatory law and/or in-house counsel for an investment company or venture capital organization * Intellectual Property (IP) experience and/or working with venture capital firms is a strong plus.
* Licensed to practice and in good standing (CA, PA, NY, or NJ is a plus) * Experience writing diligence memorandums and explaining complex compliance issues in plain English.
* Demonstrated project management skills and both the maturity and capability to function at a high level in a fast-moving and dynamic corporate environment.
* Ability to understand and articulate the unique value proposition for both DataScalp platform and the FlyBuy apps and corresponding technologies and approaches.
