*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate VA Disability Attorney to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in veterans' law, specifically handling VA disability claims.
This individual will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to veterans seeking disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct client consultations to assess eligibility for VA disability benefits and evaluate potential claims.
* Gather and review medical records, service records, and other relevant documentation to build strong cases for disability benefits.
* Prepare and submit comprehensive claims and appeals to the VA, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Communicate with clients, medical professionals, and government agencies to gather necessary information and evidence for claims.
* Represent clients in hearings, appeals, and other proceedings before the VA and administrative bodies.
* Stay current with changes in VA regulations, policies, and procedures affecting veterans' benefits.
* Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
*Qualifications:*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Admission to the bar in the United States and must be in good standing.
* 1-3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on veterans' law and VA disability claims preferred.
* Knowledge of VA regulations, procedures, and case law related to disability benefits.
* Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to empathize with clients and effectively advocate on their behalf.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
