We are seeking an experienced Paralegal (Contract Manager) to join our legal team reporting directly to General Counsel.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong contract management and legal skills to contribute to our growing organization.
The ideal candidate will have a background in contract negotiation, drafting, and management, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and a dedication to upholding legal and regulatory compliance standards.
Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing various types of contracts such as vendor agreements, customer contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and service agreements.
Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, finance, and operations, to address contractual issues and facilitate the contract negotiation process.
Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation, including contract templates and playbook.
Monitor contract renewals, terminations, and amendments, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
Assist with the resolution of contract disputes and claims, and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
Stay informed about relevant changes in laws and regulations affecting contract management and legal compliance within the financial technology industry.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Law, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; a paralegal certification is a plus.
5+ years of experience working as a contract manager, paralegal, or in a similar role, in a medium/large law US or international firm or in-house, preferably within the financial technology or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of contract law principles, contract drafting techniques, and legal terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with CRM systems, such as HubSpot, a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document review and preparation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision using good judgment to escalate issues when needed.
Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a 100% remote environment.
Willingness to work on new subjects outside area of expertise.
