At Bochner PLLC, we are looking for a highly motivated and organized Patent Paralegal to join our growing team!
We ask that applicants only apply if they already have 1-2 years of patent prosecution experience.
*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*
* Proactively managing patent prosecution dockets; monitoring and following up on dates associated with the US and foreign IP prosecution docket, including clearing dates and providing follow-up with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and foreign associates in order to provide adequate time to respond
* Preparing domestic and foreign documents for filing and related prosecution filing documents; preparing and recording assignment and change of name documentation
* Assisting with correspondence with clients regarding patents and related matters
* Assisting with correspondence to and from foreign associates
* Retrieving information from databases and running relevant reports
* Maintaining positive relations with internal clients and co-workers and contributing to the self-directed team structure to assist with overflow and specialized tasks within guidelines set by the firm
*Minimum requirements:*
* High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
* Minimum 1-2 year of IP prosecution experience required
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro preferred
* Familiarity with Docketing Systems a plus, but not required
* Excellent time management skills and ability to work in high pressure environments; ability to shift priorities quickly without compromising deadlines or quality
* Ability to be proactive and to identify and address problems quickly
* Excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Ability to perform all essential duties
