This team is responsible for management of all material legal issues that arise across the organization as well as processes, corporate governance and business policies and training to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.
Job Description The Ultra Legal function is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the Group’s legal and compliance requirements and activities in support of business strategic objectives, including legal risk management and mitigation and contract and bid support.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Legal Intern to join our team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic legal environment, assisting our legal team with various tasks and projects.
Under guidance, the intern will contribute to legal research, drafting documents, and supporting special projects, as assigned.
This internship offers valuable insight into the legal profession and is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in law.
Expectations: conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing and potential issues.
Assist in drafting legal documents, including memoranda.
Review and summarize legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
Attend meetings, taking notes and providing support as needed.
Organize and maintain legal files, documents, and databases.
Assist with document preparation.
Process invoices.
Collaborate with other team members on special projects and assignments.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program at an accredited law school.
Strong academic record with coursework in relevant legal areas such as contracts, torts, and civil procedure.
Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret legal information.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in law, with a desire to gain practical experience in a legal setting.
Previous internship or work experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency is preferred but not required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Duration and Schedule: The internship is a full-time position during the summer months.
