We are looking for a business-minded, high-achieving professional with good hands-on experience in the management of new study opportunity activities including contracts management and negotiation (NDAs, CTAs and amendments), sales pipeline management and reporting (using Salesforce.
com), and study budget negotiations.
You must be well-versed in study protocols, protocol designs, schedules of events and in translating these into study budgets.
The *Contracts and Budgets Specialist* reports directly to the Head of Clinical Operations with a dotted line to the finance.
This can be a remote, home-based position for the right candidate.
*Responsibilities & Essential Functions:* Review and interpret study protocols to build accurate study budgets and ensure all billable activities are properly captured.
Receive, coordinate, orchestrate and manage responses to, contracts, amendments, and budgets.
Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors and CROs relative to contracts, amendments, and budgets.
Develop and negotiate favorable study budgets and contract terms.
Identify legal, financial, and operational risks.
Regularly update and maintain sales pipeline information to satisfy regular reporting forecasting needs.
Work independently to ensure all deadlines are met with exceptional professionalism, detail, and quality.
Lead and/or participate in client calls including with CROs, sponsors and partner vendors.
Lead and/or participate in study hand-off meetings with Clinical Operations, Site and Financial Accounting colleagues to include a review and understanding of SOWs, deliverables and all billable activities and identify potential or likely out of scope activities.
Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations and Financial Accounting colleagues including to ensure proper and consistent use of certain applications including CTMS and accounting systems.
Some travel required.
All other duties as assigned.
*Competencies:* *Expert ability to appropriately interpret clinical trial protocols and translate into clinical trial agreements and comprehensive study budgets.
* *Comprehensive knowledge of standard Microsoft applications, Salesforce.
com, and industry tools including and RealTime perferred.
* *Exceptional negotiation skills.
* Strong understanding of the clinical trial process and participants.
Strong knowledge of the clinical trial process including GCP, ICH guidelines and relevant FDA regulations and guidelines.
Good understanding of the basic principles of contracts.
Good understanding of business and financial principles.
Professional presence internally and externally, conveying credibility and confidence.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lead productive meetings.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner.

*Qualifications:* Minimum 2+ years of clinical research related contract and budget management experience.
Experience in some clinical research operations role preferred.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.
00 - $90,000.
