Bankruptcy Paralegal

Aimee Melich Law seeks a bi-lingual paralegal to help with all phases of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy.

We are a small boutique law firm looking for someone to join our team.
Salary is compensable based on experience.
Responsibilities: * Assist lawyer(s) with preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, motions, and other court documents.
* Assist lawyer(s) and communicate with clients regarding deficiencies for confirmation.
* Conduct legal research to support bankruptcy cases.
* Communicate with clients, creditors, and court staff.
* Manage and organize bankruptcy files, including preparing and filing required schedules, statements, and other paperwork.
* Provide support to lawyers during bankruptcy hearings and mediations.
* Ensure that all bankruptcy documents are filed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Court docket and correspondence management.
Requirements: * 2+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal.
* Pleasant phone demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
* Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience with Clio Manage and NextChapter a plus.
