_*Role Overview:*_
As the Deputy CFO with legal expertise, you will oversee our financial and legal operations, directly reporting to the CEO and CFO.
This pivotal role combines financial management with legal acumen to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with laws.
You will manage budgets, payroll, tax compliance, and handle legal matters, contributing to strategic decisions.
_*Responsibilities:*_
* Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Manage payroll, banking, and invoice processing to ensure timely payments.
* Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including filing and reporting requirements.
* Handle legal matters related to contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and company policies.
* Liaise with external legal counsel as needed to address specific legal issues.
_*Qualifications:*_
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.
g.
, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management and legal affairs, preferably in a startup environment.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax planning, and corporate finance.
* Knowledge of legal requirements and best practices for startups, including intellectual property law, contract law, and employment law.
