Re:Car, is a new US company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.
Founded in early 2022, Project Re:Car spent its formative months establishing a leadership team and the product definition.
Who we are looking for:
Re:Car is looking for a highly motivated Senior Paralegal to join a newly formed Legal Department.
This critical role will support the establishment and maintenance of legal operations in furtherance of Re:Car growth strategies and initiatives.
Will provide administrative and legal support for the Head of Legal.
This candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercise absolute confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and have strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
Requires prior work in start-up environment, supporting operations.
This is a part-time role.
24 hours per week.
Remote, prefer candidate in PT time zone.
What you get to do:
Support compliance with the corporate obligations of the current and future subsidiaries.
Work with local counsel to ensure all corporate registrations and licensing are in good standing and comply with all vital formalities (e.
g.
, board meetings and timely approvals.
Maintain corporate compliance documentation for Re:Car.
Support the drafting of corporate legal documentation as needed, including but not limited to, board resolutions, intercompany funding agreements and powers of attorney, filing of legal documents.
Assist in sophisticated M&A transactions, debt and equity financing transactions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams & key contacts within the organization on a variety of matters and projects.
Some contract management responsibilities up to and including, drafting, and negotiating contracts, under the supervision of legal counsel.
Collaborate closely with other members of the organization, supporting a wide range of tasks related to IP for both patents and trademarks.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including IT, Finance and Human Resources, to integrate compliance considerations and resources into business practices.

Support Equity program without side counsel.
Work alongside the Head of Legal, providing an efficient and comprehensive corporate legal administration and support service for which also includes to (i) carry out word processing and data inputting duties as the need arises, producing and recording information, (ii) assist with arrangements for meetings and information events.

Certificate in Paralegal Studies
12+ years of paralegal experience with a minimum of 3 year with a startup in-house legal department
Experience utilizing the Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Power suite.
Excellent communication team and relationship building skills.
Must be self-directed with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
An effective communicator with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong follow up.
Must have flexibility and ability to work in an environment where meeting deadlines are of paramount importance.
Diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality practiced at all times.
