*Position Title: *Legal Department Manager *Department: *Legal Department
*Reports To: *BLP Director of Operations
Position SummaryThe Legal Department Manager will have a critical role in the expanding operation of Better Life Plans.
This person will manage the day-to-day business of the various legal teams, including all operational and administrative functions.
They will directly oversee a team of Legal Supervisors and indirectly manage all the corresponding legal representatives.
They will be responsible for tracking and enforcing company policies and procedures within their department.
They will review and evaluate Supervisors' and Representatives' performance and take or guide the necessary action.
The Legal Department Manager will also assist with a variety of projects to help facilitate BLP’s continued growth.

Essential Responsibilities and Objectives · Oversee the day-to-day operation of the BLP Legal Department · Address escalated issues regarding lawsuits · Meet regularly with the legal Supervisors · Ensures employees adhere to company policies and procedures and address as needed · Coordinate with HR and upper management on employee concerns · Identify performance issues and training opportunities, and address with supervisors and team members as needed · Communicate process and procedure updates and reminders · Oversee Quarterly Conversations and Annual Reviews · Coordinate with Partner Companies regarding lawsuit questions and concerns · Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training · Oversee all attendance matters including, but not limited to, PTO, VTO, and OT · Assist with system, operation, and design improvements · Engage in and maintain partner and vendor relationships · Assist with BLP quarterly projects as needed · Other projects as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.

· Computer Skills o Above Average skills in Microsoft Word and Excel o General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Outlook · REQUIRED: o Paralegal certification or similar legal services degree o Experience managing a legal team o Minimum of 5 Years of experience in a legal environment o Minimum of 2 Years of experience in a leadership role · PREFERRED: o Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law, Business, Communication, or other similar field o Leadership experience in a Law Firm or Legal Service Provider Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise, manage, and oversee a team of Supervisors.
Maintain oversight of all legal representatives, including Paralegals and Case Managers.
Oversee all PIPs and corrective actions.
