Position Summary
Primary responsibility is to assist the General Counsel in managing the legal function of the organization.
Essential Tasks
Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements: advertising, licensing, intellectual property, SaaS, real estate and development, services, partner, and vendor agreements.
Manage and protect the company's portfolio of IP.
Advise on HR and employment related issues.
Manage, strategize and advise on all litigation matters.
Advice on all aspects of data privacy considerations worldwide.
Assist in the management of corporate matters, including corporate minutes, governance issues, shareholding, fundraising, and the like.
Manage multiple deals effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure the accurate completion and timely execution of business initiatives.
Advise business clients on legal issues and risks, company policies, and business strategy.
Anticipate and identify issues and risks, recommending potential solutions.
Stay abreast of trends in the industry and areas of law relating to technology and data / privacy.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Minimum 15+ years of experience.
8+ years of management experience is required.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated project management skills; deadline oriented.
Ability to multi-task while maintaining great attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and think strategically.
Self-motivated team player with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt in a changing environment.
The pay range for this position is $150,000 to $215,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
