Responsibilities: - Assist attorney in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities - Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies - Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs - Organize and manage case files, including electronic and physical documents - Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel - Maintain calendars and deadlines for multiple cases - Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials - Assist with document production and e-discovery processes - Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and file organization Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in California Family Law - Strong knowledge of project management principles - Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures - Proficiency in legal research methods and resources - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Experience with document management systems and electronic filing systems - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Skills: - Project management: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Family Law: Knowledge of family law legal principles, procedures, and terminology relevant to litigation.
- Paralegal: Proficient in providing support to attorneys in various aspects of litigation.
- Data entry: Accurate and efficient data entry skills for maintaining case files.
- Legal drafting: Ability to draft legal documents accurately and effectively.
- Legal case management: Experience in organizing and managing case files.
- Document management systems: Familiarity with electronic document management systems.
- File: Organizational skills for maintaining physical case files.
- Clerical: General clerical skills for administrative tasks.
- Phone etiquette: Professional phone manner when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.
