Team Description Our Legal, Policy, Trust & Privacy teams help keep users and their stuff safe, protect Dropbox, counsel Dropboxers on challenging problems, and are always synced with the Dropbox teams they work with.
We deal with novel issues every day while standing up for users and helping the company and product grow.
Role Description As Associate Counsel, Cybersecurity and Incident Management you will be a key member of Dropbox’s incident response program.
This fast-paced role includes supporting compliance with global data breach notification laws, engaging with regulators, and advising on a wide range of legal issues that impact all aspects of Dropbox’s business.
You will also help coordinate a global program that promotes user trust and facilitates company-wide responses to customer-impacting events.

) Responsibilities Assist investigations and assessments of security and personal data incidents, analyze legal responsibilities, and support legal and regulatory responses.
Provide legal support to Dropbox’s incident response program, which deals with a wide range of business issues beyond security and privacy.
Help coordinate a team of on-call business managers that provide 24/7 support to incidents.
Engage and coordinate with leaders and executives throughout the company to respond to business-impacting incidents.
Promote and foster a culture of trust within and outside of Dropbox.
Requirements 3+ years of post-JD legal experience, ideally with experience counseling privacy, security, breach notification, and incident response matters.
Familiarity with domestic and global breach notification and security laws, including GDPR, HIPAA, and state breach laws.
Familiarity with technology and the ability to interact with highly-technical engineers and security personnel.
Willingness to support incident response outside of traditional business hours.
Great people skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment with a wide range of technical and non-technical teams.
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
JD, admitted to a US state bar, distinctive academic record.

Through our assessment process, we will identify your level that ties to compensation based on your experience and technical expertise along with the scope of the role.
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.
We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package.
All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
If you are assessed at the IC3 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change): • US Zone 1: $176,500 - $207,700 - $238,900.
• US Zone 2: $158,900 - $186,900 - $214,900.
• US Zone 3: $141,300 - $166,200 - $191,100.
If you are assessed at the IC4 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change): • US Zone 1: $202,700 - $238,500 - $274,300.
• US Zone 2: $182,500 - $214,700 - $246,900.
• US Zone 3: $162,200 - $190,800 - $219,400.
