Summary
We are currently seeking a Staff Attorney to join our Affirmative Action Planning Services (AAPS) and Pay Equity team.
The attorney should have the ability to work within a team to provide advice and counsel related to complex affirmative action and pay equity related issues.
This includes the capability of multi-tasking and dealing with ambiguity in the law, process and procedure.
This position will be largely responsible for advising member organizations regarding affirmative action planning and performing pay equity analysis.

Essential Functions
Advise organizations concerning affirmative action related topics, including risk management, policies, procedures and other issues as they arise.
Review and revise affirmative action plans to ensure compliance with federal law.
Function as an internal subject matter expert on legal issues associated with pay equity and affirmative action planning.
Engage in inter-departmental and cross-functional training and conversations to ensure consistent institutional understanding of the relevant legal issues.
Work collaboratively with member organizations and program specialists to conduct pay equity analysis by providing legal review and expertise.
Prepare and deliver summary reports detailing legal recommendations for pay equity compliance.
Advise employers during state and federal administrative audit processes.
Assist Managing Attorney with evaluating and implementing technologies and practices for improved efficiency.
Prepare and deliver live and virtual training to organizations regarding affirmative action and pay equity material.
Assist Managing Attorney with wage and hour projects as needed.
Research, analyze, and author articles and whitepapers to be published by Employers Council.
Requirements:
Law degree (JD) and Colorado Bar admission required.
Strong legal research capability and a solid understanding of Westlaw.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in employment matters, including but not limited to agency related claims, mediations, and arbitrations.
Training and/or public speaking experience.
Multistate licensure.
