This position will be responsible for providing legal advice on a variety of topics related to pharmacy networks.
The qualified candidate must be able to develop a detailed and strategic understanding of the PBM business model and the various state and federal laws impacting pharmacy networks and network management.
The position requires an understanding of the health care industry as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to understand and manage complexity, influence business colleagues, foster collaboration and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day legal support relating to the pharmacy network management, including pharmacy pricing, credentialing, audits and investigations.
Provide interpretative and practical advice regarding a variety of state and federal laws impacting the health services business sector, including pharmacy networks.
Collaborate with the business team and enterprise colleagues on the creation and implementation of new or enhanced products and solutions, for pharmacy network products and other cross-functional strategic initiatives and key projects impacting the Company’s pharmacy benefits management business.
Advise on operational, strategic, and legislative matters relating to pharmacy networks.
Review and draft complex provider contracts, company policies and other operational documents necessary to facilitate the growth and scaling of the company’s pharmacy network operations.

from accredited law school/Bar membership required.
3-5 years corporate legal department or law firm experience.
Broad knowledge of the health care and health services industry required.
PBM or Pharmacy needed.
Experience in contracting, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements.
Experience with provider networks is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA and health care fraud, waste and abuse laws.
Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills, including negotiation skills.
Interpersonal skills to develop and manage relationships with clients at all levels.
Ability to identify issues and propose actionable legal and business solutions.
Track record of project and process management.
Strong work ethic with effective time-management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Demonstrated good judgment and attention to detail.
Ability and desire to learn new subject areas and willingness take on new responsibilities.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 132,700 - 221,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
