Position Summary:
This is a newly created position offering a unique opportunity for a Paralegal with a litigation background to join our organization.
The position is approximately 60-70% litigation support, and the remainder a mix of commercial, trade and special project support.
This position is flexible to be fully remote in the West Coast of the USA in Pacific or Mountain time zones.
For business need, we will not consider candidates in Central or Eastern time zones.
Responsibilities:
Assist Sr Counsel, Litigation with pre-litigation matters and arbitration and litigation preparation.
Prepare settlement documentation for warranty claims.
Assist in the discovery process, including the collection, organization and production of documents.
Develop process and procedures for litigation holds and document/file management and retention.
Take responsibility for calendar and deadline management.
Coordinate with internal and external parties, including outside counsel, regarding engagement, invoicing, and trial/arbitration preparation.
Draft and review correspondence.
Assist Sr Counsel, Litigation to prepare pleadings, responses and other filings in legal proceedings.

Counsel, Trade Compliance with preparation and filing of government submissions
Act as backup for commercial paralegal, including obtaining contract approvals and signatures, managing corporate filings, licenses and registrations, managing the MSS Legal Sharepoint and general administrative functions for the MSS North America Legal Department.
Requirements:
At least three to five years of experience as a paralegal, either in a law firm or legal department.
At least three years experience handing litigation matters.
Paralegal certificate (desirable).
BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Understanding of the rules of civil procedure, compliance issues, and regulations.

This is a full time position.
The pay range for this position is $65,000 – $95,000 This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonuses or incentives or benefits that may apply.
