Position Summary:
The Associate Attorney will assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to existing clients.
The Associate Attorney is responsible for conducting legal research; drafting documents and pleadings; communicating with clients and experts; drafting and responding to discovery; document review; and assisting with trial and deposition preparation.
Associates may represent clients in court and depositions.

Responsibilities:
Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior attorneys.
Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Competencies:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role handling first and third property insurance defense, coverage and bad faith.
Prefer experience with Examinations Under Oath, civil litigation, extra-contractual litigation and declaratory actions.
Florida Bar Admission
Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
Must meet expectations for billing goals.
Work Environment:
