Position Summary:
Serves as a subject matter expert in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs for our Tribal healthcare clients and their health clinics.
This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in implementing and optimizing MAT programs, both freestanding and as part of a larger healthcare setting.
The MAT Clinic Advisor will collaborate closely with clients and BSSP healthcare professionals to design, implement, and evaluate MAT initiatives that align with unique cultural and community needs.
Core Duties And Responsibilities:
Provides expert guidance and consultation on the development, implementation, and optimization of MAT programs within Tribal Health Clinics.
Collaborates with Tribal leaders, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to assess needs, identify challenges, and develop tailored MAT strategies.
Conducts comprehensive assessments of existing MAT programs to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Facilitates training and education sessions for healthcare staff and community members on MAT best practices, cultural competency, and harm reduction principles.
Fosters partnerships with external organizations, agencies, and resources to enhance support for MAT initiatives and community-based services.
Provides ongoing support, mentorship, and technical assistance to Tribal Health Clinic staff involved in MAT program implementation.

Education And Experience:
Advanced degree in a relevant field such as public health, social work, pharmacy, nursing, or healthcare administration.
Extensive experience (a minimum of 3 years) working in MAT programs, preferably within Tribal healthcare settings.
Demonstrated knowledge of various treatment and medication models.
Strong understanding of MAT medications, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaborative decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care approaches
Knowledge of Tribal healthcare systems, cultural norms, and community dynamics; preferred.
