Who are we looking for? Woodard & Curran offers a unique opportunity to join our Butte, MT, or Bozeman, MT teams in providing high-quality environmental remediation and restoration services to commercial and industrial clients throughout the Rocky Mountains.
We seek a motivated, experienced Project Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership qualities to oversee and lead a well-respected team of well-known area professionals in an office that is one of the firm’s busiest locations.
The selected candidate will work directly with a diverse and tremendously talented team of client managers, external consultants, and Woodard &Curran staff-level engineers, scientists, and administrative project support personnel.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual! What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran: In this role, you will use established relationships with clients and regulatory agencies to procure and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and delivery.
You will lead complex remedial design and construction projects' investigation, remediation, and restoration efforts.
In addition, you will be responsible for supporting client management, interacting with regulators, coordinating project team members' work, ensuring subcontractors' coordination and oversight, coaching and mentoring junior staff, developing project scope, and managing project performance.

10 to 20+ years of professional experience with an engineering consulting firm.
A professional license (PE in Montana), or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months, is desirable.
Solid technical expertise in site development, implementation of field investigations, analysis, documentation, and reporting of various environmental projects; the development of remedial action plans and remedial designs; and construction and implementation of remedial alternatives.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Experience with state (MT) and federal regulations.
CERCLA experience.
Contractor and subcontractor management.
Cost estimating and project budgeting.
Strong attention to detail and quality assurance of tasks and work product.
Health and safety stewardship.
Mentorship of project staff.
This position’s anticipated pay range is provided below; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working.
Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.
Benefits & Wellbeing Retirement Savings: • 401(k) Pre-tax or Roth Contributions: Company will match equal to 100% of the first 3% of salary contributed, All employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan and are 100% vested in the value of own contributions and any employer matching contributions.
Time away from work: • Vacation time is provided to full and part-time regular employees.
Vacation is accrued, based on number of hours worked per week as well as prior years of experience.
