iResearch Corporation, DBA iResearch Institute (iRI) - Founded to promote excellence and equity in science, the iResearch Corporation encompasses a variety of research-centric programs that seek to unlock the potential in every student researcher.
1.
Can you code in R or Python? 2.
Are you interested in sharing your science research knowledge of machine learning, OMICS, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and/or data science with high school and early college students? *If you answered yes to these 2 questions, apply to join the iResearch Corporation team!* _*iRI Program and Mentor/Fellow Description*_ – Summer 2022 The iResearch Institute (iRI) hosts talented national and international high school and early college students virtually for four (4) stimulating and academically challenging weeks.
iRI combines theoretical course work (research papers review, research methods training, etc.
) with research methods application and virtual empirical research using Big data orchestrated with iRI lab mentors/fellows in data science, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and OMICS.
Advanced high school and early college students work under the guidance of iRI fellows/contractors who serve as science research mentors in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The iRI program is an intense, learning experience, 5 - 7 days/week with a prerequisite of computer science, biology, chemistry, and physics as needed for data analysis and project completion.
Because of the short, rigorous nature of the program, mentors/research fellows should expect to prepare a Wiki of research goals and review those goals.
One - three weeks before the iResearch Institute begins a meeting is held with the iRI director for edits then mentors will work through July and the first week of August 2023 (Mon.
– Fri.
and some weekends; for the entirety of the 6-week iRI program).
While the students will process BIG data for their research projects, the mentors should both prepare and review the literature associated with student projects and prepare a review of computer science programming for iRI program participants.
The iRI program is in full force 5 - 7 days per week (with flexible work hours), but additional communications will be needed for participant questions and assistance.
