Penn Studio School of Art and its affiliate, The Ohio Art Center, is seeking an online, remote, part-time Art Class Assistant for our live online courses and workshops.
This position is fully remote.
The Art Class Assistant will provide direct assistance to their assigned online Art Instructor.
All live online workshops and courses are scheduled in US Eastern Time Zone, Monday-Sunday 10:00 am ET- 9:00 pm ET.
Qualified candidates must be located within the US Eastern Time Zone.
Live online courses and workshops are scheduled Monday-Sunday 10:00 am ET- 9:00 pm ET.
The Art Class Assistant’s scheduled courses, or workshops, can range from 3 to 7 classes per week.
Each course or workshop is 2–3 hours long.
Average work hours are 10-25 hours a week.
The pay range is $12-$15 an hour.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
· Demonstrate a pleasant, reliable, and professional manner.
· Must be located within the Eastern Time Zone.
· Successful candidate must have a reliable and quiet workspace, high speed internet, headphones/microphone, camera, and a computer or laptop.
· Art degree preferred.
· Well versed in various art forms.
· Proficient in Zoom conferencing software.
· Proficient in Padlet.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proficient in Google Docs & Sheets.
· Knowledgeable of Adobe Acrobat.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
· Possess excellent customer service skills.
· Must be able to multitask; be productive, focused, and flexible in a creative and sometimes chaotic environment.
· Have a natural ability to interact and communicate effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
· Flexible schedule with availability during weekends and evenings.
· Must pass a background check.
Background check would be funded by Penn Studio School of Art and The Ohio Art Center.
Duties Include:
· Schedule, attend, host, and record live online courses and workshops via Zoom.
· Coordinate, schedule, and attend virtual run-through meetings with art instructors via Zoom.
· Provide assistance to instructors and students via email.
· Monitor Padlet, including uploading images and content from instructors or students.
Assist students with Padlet inquiries.
· Promote and cultivate positive personal interaction with students, instructors, and administrative staff.
