Description: Nickol Global Solutions (NGS) is seeking mid- to senior-level Operations Specialists/Advisors to support the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) within the Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization (CPS) at the U.
S.
Agency for International Development under the USAID/OTI institutional support contract.
As part of USAID, OTI supports U.
S.
foreign policy objectives by helping local partners advance peace and democracy.
USAID/OTI provides fast, flexible, short-term assistance targeted at key political transition and stabilization needs.
USAID/OTI faces a fundamental shift in the composition of its Washington workforce.
As a result of a recent USAID initiative, USAID/OTI expects to see most of its Washington-based U.
S.
personal services contract (USPSC) staff positions converted into civil and foreign service limited positions.
This shift significantly affects USAID/OTI’s internal operations: how it hires, trains, and retains staff.
A number of existing Operations and Management Division (OMD) office processes will require analysis, change and/or improvement, and revisions.
New office processes will need to be created while OMD is still responsible for maintaining responsiveness for day-to-day tasks.
Therefore USAID/OTI/OMD requires multiple mid- to senior-level Operations Specialists/Advisors to provide short term technical support to address these needs.
Candidates must be flexible and able to produce high-quality work products under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The positions will be based in the Washington, DC metro region and may be part-time or full-time depending on the role.
The successful candidates must be a U.
S.
citizen with the ability to pass a background check and obtain and maintain the necessary facility and employee security clearance at the Secret level.
Candidates with an active security clearance are preferred.
Recruitment will be done on a rolling basis for these positions and candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Requirements: Specific duties may include but are not limited to: Review, revise, and document effective and efficient internal organizational and procedural processes and procedures; Provide administrative and management support services as directed by the Activity Manager; Assist in identifying, standardizing, and streamlining internal OTI processes with agency processes; Recommend the establishment of and prepares administrative business processes for implementation throughout the office; Improve administrative services, communications, and collaborations within OMD, across OTI, and with external agency stakeholders such as CPS/AMS and M/HCTM; Provide training, capacity building, and mentoring for OMD staff; Ensure accuracy of information by assembling and preparing charts, data, reports, and analyzing administrative service and work planning data; Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of administrative policies and directives; and Addresses complex problems or interrelated issues in developing and maintaining a strong administrative program.
Requirements Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of relevant management operations experience in a business or government setting.
Experience working with USAID preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe, and basic software packages.
? Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Preferred Qualifications: Current Secret security clearance.
Experience implementing, managing communications, documents, and providing operations management support duties in a large organization.
