Position Summary:
Nobis Rehabilitation Partners is in high growth mode and looking for a Payroll Assistant.
The Payroll Assistant will aid in maintaining timecards and payroll files to ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to hours worked.
Maintain employee’s benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Assist in processing biweekly payroll for employees.
Partner with HR and Accounting for reporting needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Knowledge of multi-state legislation, policies, and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Paycor is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Fundamental Payroll Certification is a plus.
Two plus years of related experience.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
