This role will have occasional on site expectations.
The SEC Reporting Accountant will work with the SEC Reporting Team to timely and accurately prepare the company's SEC filings, research and prepare technical accounting papers, and perform additional accounting related aspects of his/her assigned departments, and act as a liaison between department executives and the accounting department as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Gather and organize supporting documentation for SEC filings
Maintain SEC filing calendar and timeline
Research and prepare technical accounting papers using authoritative literature
Prepare monthly analytics and reports (including cash flows)
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations as needed
Prepare monthly department outlook/forecasts as needed
Liaison (together with their manager) between department executives and the accounting department as needed
Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management
Follow legal policies as directed
Job Requirements
Knowledge of U.
S.
GAAP
Experience with SEC filings or public company accounting helpful but not required
0-2 years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
Skills
Basic knowledge of Oracle accounting software helpful but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Strong writing skills
Financial Analysis
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (MACC preferred)
Certifications
Preference will be given to CPAs or CPA candidates
Base Pay Range:
$49,000 - $58,500
Physical Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions.
The incumbent may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
