Senior Staff Accountant - What You’ll Do: The Senior Staff Accountant reports into the Controller and will be a crucial part of the Finance team, responsible for a broad range of accounting functions.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, customer service minded, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate will play a crucial part of developing and improving our accounting practices.
Process and validate master record data in NetSuite and various accounting systems Maintain general ledger transactions Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements Oversee accounts payable function in NetSuite, including that bills are entered, approved and paid on a timely basis.
Manage procurement process, including working with our procurement system – Tropic Advise and lead Sales Tax compliance using our tax tool Avalara Maintain lease documents related to accounting standard – ASC 842 Lead commission accounting related to accounting standard – ASC 606 Process and reconcile company and corporate credit card expense reports Continuously offer advice and guidance to improvements for our procurement and T&E policies Complete vendor registration forms and other client documents Create international and inter-company accounting entries Perform calculations of accruals, prepaids, property and equipment, and calculate depreciation and amortization expenses Assist with accounting related payroll entries and work with FP&A team on payroll analysis The Skills, Experience, and Mindset Required: Bachelor Degree required (Accounting or Finance) 3-5 Years of relevant Staff Accountant of equivalent accounting experience NetSuite experience highly preferred Having worked with A/P, T&E and Procurement tools in prior roles highly preferred.
Previous professional experience working for a SaaS company or fast-paced environment Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and comfortable engaging in cross-functional projects Why OfficeSpace?
