Role Overview:
As the first Accounting hire at Leaf, you will be instrumental in scaling our accounting processes.
You will be responsible for building processes that help operationalize our Finance function, performing period-end close activities and analysis, preparing tax filings, and driving existing processes, such as AP, AR, and payroll.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Build and orchestrate scalable accounting processes, such as month and quarter end close processes.
Perform revenue recognition entries compliant with ASC 606 guidelines.
Perform monthly P&L analysis and provide explanations for variances.
Manage the preparation of tax returns across multiple regions.
Prepare monthly GL account entries, account reconciliations, adjustments, and maintain supporting documentation.
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Develop and maintain up-to-date accounting processes and procedures.
Oversee the billing of our Customers and the accounts receivable process.
Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all cash and credit card accounts ensuring accounts are balanced and reconciled.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience
BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA highly preferred
Fluent in US GAAP; with a strong emphasis on ASC 606 compliance
Highly proficient in Excel and experience working with large datasets
Experience working with accounting systems such as Quickbooks Online and/or experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Sage
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Experience with SaaS Companies
